Finnish start-up enters UK market through Harrods London
Helsinki, Finland – the products of Finnish start-up company Plantui Oy are now available at Harrods in London. The Christmas season offers a huge potential to make their hydroponic Smart Gardens a success in the United Kingdom. About Harrods Harrods, a privately-owned department store located in central London, opened its doors in 1834. Up to 300,000 customers visit the 90,000 m2 big store across its 330 departments on peak days. Harrod’s yearly revenue accounted to £ 769 million in 2015.
Plantui CEO Karri Andersson states that due to its fame for quality and luxury goods, Harrods London is expected to strengthen the brand awareness of Plantui inside the United Kingdom and globally. The Smart Gardens, Plant Capsules and accessories are presented in the Home Appliance area of the department store.
